Is Gramai a Grammarly alternative?
For fixing and rewriting what you have already written, yes. Gramai does not underline mistakes while you type and it does not score a document. It works on demand: select the text, right-click, and the corrected version lands in place.
Can I keep both installed?
Yes. Gramai only runs when you pick it from the right-click menu, so it does not get in the way of anything that checks your text as you type. The two extensions share nothing with each other.
Does Gramai work in Google Docs?
No. Google Docs draws its text on a canvas instead of using an ordinary editable field, so an extension cannot read the selection or write it back. Grammarly's own pages list Google Docs as supported. Gramai works everywhere else, including Gmail, Outlook web, LinkedIn, Notion and Slack in a browser tab.
Does Gramai work in languages other than English?
